Yes well I had a bad experience with the LR and this seemed like a fool proof way to do things so long as you get your window seal properly done. I just used the same silicone I used to put the glass in, ran a small bead under the edge of the pond liner around where the window sat just to hold it in place. Then right after that applied all the silicone for installing the glass. Was actually a very simple way to do the tank, easy to disassemble and only took a fraction of the time. Not using any bulkheads as it is not filtered using a sump, figure the less possible places to leak the better, and with this method the only possible thing that can leak is around the window.

I like your idea of framing the tank and using a pond liner. What type of silicone did you use to seal the viewing glass to the plywood? How do you get the pond liner to lay flat on the plywood walls?
