I don't think that you should really give a rats ass about what other people think of you liking white girls. In the end it is your life and you'd be a fool to consider anyone's approval or disapproval. I'm Eastern Euro White and my wife is Puerto Rican Hispanic. My Ukrainian family hates her and feels like I have betrayed them. I just choose not to get involved in their ignorance-fuel drama and I am enjoying my life.

immigration can introduce new people and new cultures to us and it us upon us to embrace that they are all human and are all valid. this is your chance to introduce your Asian family to the "white culture", be the leader, the one that takes the first step. Over time you will see that even an "old dog can learn new tricks".

I am not picky when it comes to race or ethnicity, but most of my family is, so I write them off as crazy. Hell I am slowly going blind anyways so race is definitely going to be nonexistent for me later in life and pretty much is now for me anyways. I just wish my family members weren't so stereotypical and scared of other cultures and races.

I've only eaver dated one chick that wasnt white, only because she thought I was half aboriginal, i didnt know she was, and didnt think it would matter.
I think Im white, but, Whos to say that myself dating white girls isnt interacial, Im awfull dark to be full white.
mates think Im either black or mexican, hard to say in Aus, anywhere you look theres interacial couples, So its hard to have an opinion.

My family is funny. My dad is white. My mom is half Japanese but was raised by her white father culturally as a white southern girl. My wife is from Paraguay with lots of German blood (not her mom in the second picture). Though she is technically Hispanic and in a way her parents raised her that way, she moved away from that as did her older sister and act more like white women. In fact, she most always checks "white" for race as she feels she will get an unfair advantage if she checks Hispanic. I suppose I am technically mixed, my wife is Hispanic and our daughter is mixed, however we relate more with white southern conservative culture. We have never felt uncomfortable with my all white family as they are all loving and accepting though despite some ignorant people might call them "rednecks". Her side of the family are all married to blacks or other Hispanics (other then her sister who is married to a white guy) and frankly her family at times will ask us why we "act white." Even our MANY minority friends (Asian, black, Indian, and other Hispanics) will question the way we "act." It really gets annoying. We both CLEARLY see how prevalent reverse racism is in this country.

We fault no one for wanting to marry within their race and preserve their culture. We do not like blatantly racist people and trust me, whites are not the only ones capable of racism.

In a way, we are preserving white southern culture despite being brown. Oh well, our daughter is BEAUTIFUL.

I am a white guy who is happily (recently) married to a beautiful and intelligent woman from Guatemala. My family immediately welcomed her as an equal part. Her family silently takes issue with me. I never married her for her family and, though it would be nice if they could see past my color and cultural differences, I can't make them do so. The situation does, however impact the frequency in which I will allow them to see our future child. Sad but true.

My wife is "white" and comes from a large family that I think really well reflects the whole race issue. Some of her family is educated, others not. Some have good jobs, some have none. They are all "decent people" overall and are a pretty good cross section of white America. Some, are what I would deem racist, though not head shaving swastica wearing rabid skin head types, but your more common subtle almost casual racist. They can be polite to me at a barbeque and then turn around and laugh at a racist joke. The really noticeable part of all this is that the ones that are racist are ignorant and poor (these two often come together). Point being that racism stems from ignorance and insecurity.
As for myself, Im Black and Japanese. My family just wants us to be happy and quite honestly we are both too old to be worried about what our parents think of our relationship.
People always think Im hispanic, middle eastern or indian (both types). I get mistaken for everything! I get spoken to in spanish and arabic all the time. Funny thing is, black people dont seem to have that problem. They seem to know I am black mixed but everyone else is confused!
Whats up with that? I tell my wife black people have Radark - kinda like ***dar

I hope the staff don't end up locking this thread in the end because we have some folks displaying prejudice towards particular races. And while this thread would have triggered remarks both positive and negative, the negative ones will never be tolerated. MFK is a global community. Everyone is welcomed. Should negative feedback against particulars crop up here, they will be dealt with accordingly and thread subsequently locked.

I certainly hope we can be mature enough to avoid the problems which is why, at this point, I am tolerating this thread long enough to allow everyone to share what they wish to say. (No negative comments please and it's Christmas season. No reason to display your belligerence against others.)
