I have always had a large variety of tree frogs hang out by my porch light at night and I would be able to find three or four different (and often rarer) species but lately, I have been finding nothing but a Cuban tree frog that has snacked on my other frogs including a pine barrens tf (i saw the legs still hanging out). I just killed the one that was hanging around but now, there are more smaller Cubans at the light, what can i do to get rid of these guys? the more I kill, the more show up at the light and I miss the variety of other frogs i was getting.

There has to be something organic that only cuban frogs detest.. you might want to do some research...

Ozz is right there is nothing you can but kill them yourself . Anything else like poison kills other tree frogs which you know thus nothing much you can do.

This year was the yr of the CTF I just got new tadpoles again last week this late in the year . The fish will eat them since in cichlid pond and most eaten already.

I don;t have any pine barrens here only Greens and Cubans. The Cubans are a taking a toll on natives in areas with houses but in woods the Cubans move just so slow that can't fathom the natives which are way faster getting caught.

I don't like them either as they eat house geckoes but won't kill them . in your case killing them is only option but imagine soon they disappear for few months as night temps in 70s seem to make them disappear.

I imagine they can't go to further North in the state because the diff in temp has to stop them they love it hot.
On the bright side they will eat each other if size difference . Imagine your light will just keep on attracting them because house geckoes their favorite food is attracted to insects by the light.

Try living by Coquis lol but at least they do not eat native tree's. Check your storm guards, etc as Cuban males will stay in same territory .

Let me ask you what is this ? I am digging a pond and find them all over . I know non natives lol but not natives . Inch or so and very fast lots of them in "community".

You'll find Cubans in North Central Florida..........Night Anoles too..........Nothing you can really do to control them though.......They'll usually have a population boom then slow down to becoming almost non-existant in a few years. They have a tendency to eat each other when everything else disappears...........I've also seen a few Cubans in amplexus with Greens, and vice versa..........

That is wild could they reproduce ? That would be amazing.

I have a friend by horse country in S.Miami and think coquis in his area as we saw small but not Cuban and not green tree's there couple days ago. Very different treefrog call .

I got a few CTF albinos tads this yr all died and albino GTF same all albino died but a solid white black eyes tad which as unreal as it may be has stayed for months in aquatic but healthy form not losing its tail.

I'm actually sending it to someone in NY next week who wants it and since cold state it cant ever populate . He has a few reg colored types.

You guys can just catch them all and send them up to me.

I love cubans but I live in a area where they can not repopulate. They were actually the first type of frogs I ever owned.

i would love to get my hands on a few of the albinos cubans or green tree frogs.
Seriously.. if you find any more please please let me know.

Never said they were reproducing......Amphibian Porn gets boring after awhile, so who knows what comes of it........I've also never seen any proof of Coquis in South Florida yet......Lots of talk, but no proof......Yet.......Nothing surprises me any more though

There are some places where 300 a night isn't uncommon. I know here in Central Florida, I can catch 50 around my house during the day........Still want them all?...........
