Sure is. Just make sure the preferences for your ipod in itunes are set to sync manually and not automatically. easy as pie!

yea it works just do the manual syncing. and make sure his is off as well i think. i took some songs while charging my ipod at a friends house last night.

on the ipod on itunes. When you connect the ipod it'll show in the menu bar on the left. click it and it'll give you the options screen where you can set to sync manually instead of automatically.

on itunes, under sync options. change it to manual. is it an older ipod? i know with my 1st gen ipod touch i can do it. and its old now. haha
