After exact measuring the marulioides have 27 inches.
Its a pair, they are thick as my arm.(at the lower end)
Absolutely no problems with them !
The only problem is to at new fishes.
They dont eat my old fishes even when they are about 10 inches but when you
add new tankmates its a gamble.
They are used to get food from me and thats what they expect when the lid opens.
I dont whant to add more fishes to the tank because of the space and bioload.
Maybe another dat but that could cause additional problems between the dats and the other fishes.
I will wait and see what happens.
They are still fighting from time to time but nothing serious.

Ok mate... Looks like their fighting for territory... Once established they will be fine.... My problem is that my arowana is too mellow and get's beat by my dat

Very cool dude!!! I love your 3 bar dat.... Is he always stable like this?..... Also does the sand effect the color of the arowana... I use black gravel however it is hard to maintain.

The Aro has incredible colours for his young age. (great potencial)
I dont think the sand has an effect to the aro.
The Dat is allways stable and about 11 Inches big.
At the other side he has four bars.
I will make a new thread soon where i show more pictures.

This is what i thought the first time they moved to this tank.
I had a group of three but one had to go because they didnt liked each other.
They were never agressive to any of my tankmates and are very shy and layed back.
I have a small fire eel and a few l600 plecos without problems.
But as i said when i put a new fish in my tank he has to be big because they are very interested
In everything that comes from above !
After knowing these guys i am more afraid about the dat hurting my aro.
Marulioides are the best snakehead species for a big community tank.
The last owner kept them with 3 golden crossback arows and a big group off leopoldi rays.
He never had problems with them.
