Hi All,

MERRY CHRISTMAS ...

I would like to seek help for my Jardini Arowana. After coming back from the holidays, there is a bloating skin or like a human burned skin. It is located on the face, top of the head and gills.

I couldn't find one similar, and hoping to get ideas on how to treat it or medicine.

Some details.

Arowana is 12" long
Will become 3yo on Feb 2013
very active
eats well

Arowana is accompanied with one pleco same age as him and together since start.

we have treated the tank with AZOO bacterial, and others for Arowana. Also applied some salt.

Please see the images below, thank you.

I have seen this disease in aros, cannot rememeber where. Asians and aussies fet it.

It is not a burn. Do a quick search in the net "bois or bubbles in arowana face " and let us wait for our asian friends to drop by.

hi Miguel,

thanks for the prompt response, did the water change, and haven't feed the arowana for a few days now. Also, temp is set to 32 with some salt thrown in.

Hi M.

not yet. Found some in forums,

1. check on the carbon (replace if possible), but I got new carbons already
2. change 10-15% of tank water
3. add tank salts
