Wow, almost two years since I've got my first Delhezis!
Meanwhile there are only three specimen left, one male and two females.
I sold 2 specimen when I decided to NOT put them back into my 6.5ft but to keep them in my 120gal/5ft aquarium.

The spcimen seen in the first video I've posted is the male I've kept.
It's about 21cm long while the large female measures about 25cm and the smaller female about 18cm.

Today they started to show mating behaviour after I added humic substances and Salt (2,5g/L) after the big waterchange yesterday:

Hey,
yea that's for sure!
He is chasing around the large female all day!
I know it's possible to breed bichirs in captivity without hormones ones you've got a breeding pair/ group (Talked to someone breeding Ornatipinnis).
So IF they end up spawning I might try to seperate the pair.

You are absolutely right no hormones are needed for Poly. I personally would seperate the pair also into their own aquarium.

Hey,
It's a substance made of the bark of oak trees.
I added about 2,5 grams per liter.
Thx. Hope you get a spawn soon
