So I bought some peacock bass a while back off of Kijiji and they were in pretty rough shape. Guy gave them to me in a pale so I couldn't really see them that well. Once I put them in a tank I could see right away that one's eye was messed. The pupil was odd shaped then just started to shrink into a small dot. That eye is now blind but nothing else happened to it for months. Now the entire eye is shrinking up and looks like it might fall out. Really should of looked at them better before buying them. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

Damage has been done. Clean water and can add some salt 1 tsp per g. If it’s just gone then just make sure the pbass can feed in the future. Also the other bass may beat up on it so watch for agression.

I rescused a Tem that was blind in one eye . He adapted quite well always keep his good eye to the front of the tank . ( I blacked out the back and sides of tank seemed to reduce the shadows that spooked him ) GL
