Been picking dr.b's brain about this but wanted to put it out there to discuss with everyone.

Might try and pick up one of each. Possibly under 10 inches. Keep them in the 150 until this coming summer plan on upgrading the tank after i move.

Whats the difference in appearence between endli volta and other endli variants? If anyone has pics of the volta or koloton you all know i love seeing them.

How would the koliba and endli look on my pool filter sand. Going all red or black isnt an option. Maybe i could darken it up a bit but not too much to where it darkens up the pearsei.

I'll try and keep my input limited here to get others members thought more into the thread than mine, but first I'll add that the sand will drain both of their color and won't really help them look to their potential. I've seen endlis and laps (specifically kolotons) get completely drained to almost complete white. So before buying them I'd probably look at pics of them on white sand vs. what you are seeing of them on garnet and red tanks and think about if you would still want them with what they look like on the whiter sands.

I cannot tell the variants apart myself. Can say lap and endli and as far as I go. Still need to study pics and info. This thread may help me yet.

Dr.b no meed to limit your response at all. What do you think if i darkend the sand to a more light brown ? Or i could mix in a few bags of peace river sand/gravel and find a happy medium ?

Whats the diff in appearence between volta and other endlis ?

Kno4te...im in the same boat i wouldnt know what im looking at

I'm not the greatest at distinguishing endlis in detail.... But as far as the koloton goes from what iv been reading and hearing for most kolotons in nearly impossible to tell them and a koliba apart because most look just like koliba but a little more defined and crisp I guess u would say ... There is exceptions to that tho iv seen a couple that r like a gold base with brown stripes they look awesome

I found a sand that would be a happy medium red flint pool filtration sand. Just have to find a supplier.

Any way i cant decide between the volta or the koloton

A bright colored substrate is recommended. Something that is proven by mf'kers experiences. Gotta make their markings pop out. You'll love it! If your in the poly game. Tan substrate tends to makes them bland. Specifically, lower jaws.

Its not bright as much as maroon natural look. Whatcha think?
