Never did update with fry pics. This is from what seems like the 10 millionth batch of fry. Very prolific. Photo bombers: pair of Crenicichla regani in the background. The 2 pairs in that tank always seem interested in the fry next door for some reason.

I got 7 juvies from an auction. I have trouble pronouncing its name and not sure how you can tell male from female.

yeah, the juvies are hard to sex. Only once they were paired was I able to tell the sexes (dominant male gets a steep/humped head, hence the name), and it was only because the male would tend to be rougher on the other males coming in their territory. Don't worry, if you have a pair, you'll know around the 2" mark

First spawn from the fry. Barely an inch long, living in a 5 gallon. Pretty cool.
