Quick question for you guys. How big do they get? I want to make a sculpture of one.

I just discovered my first vidéo link wasn't available....

correction...

and to answer to Dark Poney, my male is around 4 inches for a female around 3 inches...

Moreover, Leatacara araguaiae is not a new collection point of L. dorsigera, but another specie, still not described, as far as I know... but known as "hump-head" from several years in Germany (BuckelKopf)

Thanks, I will search some more.
Nice fish btw.. the OP and yours.
Its interesting that your pair seem to show very light coloration when breeding other than the black
Mine haves days when they get quite dark throughout the body with almost white horizontal lines. But I have not seen them breed yet.
They are still young though at roughly2 1/2"

The nice thing is they don't seem to bother a sole :)

one year after this picture, the male is now even more impressive... I don't have recent picture of it, but I'll try to shoot one tonight... you could believe he wears a red helmet ! And he's possibly too well fed... I admit... but still gorgeous !

Thats some football player you got there, now I see why they go by the common name "hump head" it's a mini Midas :)
