lid for a 125 gal

i am trying to help my bud come up with some ideas on how to get a lid for his 125.

the prob is that there is no center braces to hold the lid up.

any ideas on what we can do to fix this prob?

Did his tank ever have a centrer brace? I know the brace in my old 55Gal broke an I used Epoxy to repair it.

If it never hads a center brace, I think the best bet for your buddy is to take the measurements for the Lid (where it would fit in) an buy 3/16" glass (Plate, Saftey, or tempered) an just get all the stuff like the plastic hinge an try that. You might be able to find a place that has glass canopys for the tank as well.
