Thanks everybody , but unfortunately I lost the pair, one the following day and then the other the next . Tried everything I could. Have to say extremely gutted

Sorry To Hear that. anything you put into your tank will have to battle columnaris once its there. From What I Have read its very persistent even if you leave the tank empty. low levels can persist with no symptoms on fish.

I Suggest You Heavily Dose the tanK In The Correct Antibiotics or nuke it with bleach and start over.

Ok thanks you , I will look into it . Unfortunately I have other fish so starting over is out the question so the antibiotics it will have to be .
