Yeah I do recall a particularly brutal cold snap one year down there but I thought that it was more of a fluke than a regular occurrence.
Our coldest month is January with an average high of 61 and low of 43. Of course it can be a lot warmer or a lot colder. Larger torts are pretty cold tolerant. Well, if they have access to heat to warm up, they can venture out into cooler air to graze for a bit as their mass helps them hold on to the heat a bit longer than a smaller reptile.

Nice Aldabra! I'd love one but I already have my hands full with my 9 year old, 30 lb. male Sulcata that's a rescue. I've had him for a little over 3 years now.

He looks great! I take it you can roll his outdoor pen around into fresh grass? That's awesome!

Here is my cold weather shed for little foot. I'm going out of town for a week and we are supposed to get some unseasonably cold weather in a couple of days. He should be fine I think.

Yep, I picked up that rolling pen this summer for him. Someone used it as a puppy pen and it works great! It's 16'x12'. I move it to a new location in our backyard about once a week in the summer. Now that it's cold my guy is moved indoors to his tortoise table. He really only sleeps in it and has the run of the first floor of our house during the day.
