I also have been using Melifix, did overdose one time and lost fish though.

It's oily. Reduces dissolved 02 levels, if you don't increase aeration, fish can suffocate.

x2. Also, make sure do water change, before adding melafix.

I never use the recommended dosage on any meds. I always use 50%

I've used melafix several times on three different silvers. That's wierd :/

I never have any issues with melafix even with over dosed by miscalculation my tank size. I got cichlid tank and those fishes commonly pick fight on each other so I used melafix for fin/tail healing process.
