The 412,000 square foot structure is not only physically impressive, but it just may be the greenest museum on the planet, with a 2 ½ acre Living Roof, an expansive solar canopy, an extensive water reclamation system, and walls insulated with recycled blue jeans!! The new Academy is now home to nearly 40,000 animals, more than six times the number at the old Academy. Check out the new website to fully explore all there is to see and do, and join us on Saturday, December 13th, 2008 as MFK takes on the Academy!!
