Lights are off so no more photos, other then the few I took earlier today.

But I've added 4 chitala ornata (clown knife fish), 3 hujeta gars and one poly.

Only took decent photos of the poly today.
I'll try and get some of the others tomorrow.

But here's some more poly pics.

I have some of the fishes while in the bag, but crappy pics.

The fishes were transported from the tank at work, 5 mins away.
Ph and temp was the same, so they were 10-15 mins in the bag only.

Bonus pic:

And here's two of the hujeta's.
Poor quality pics, will get better ones soon

Did a water change today, added some more Eheim substrat pro in my 2217's and changed some purigen.

Here's the hujeta's, the one on the right caught a rummynose tetra.

Haven't gotten a pic of the knife fish, they're hiding and come out at night.
But I see them occasionally now and then. Same with the bichir.

I'm just listening to music while I watch the hujeta's hunt the tetras.

I love this fish!!!

fair do's i have done it, buy fish i knew would outgrow my tank but im against it now, they should be good for a couple of years if not longer tho right?

how big do they actually get in captivity, never seem to see any over 18-24 inch, supposed to hit 3ft right?

Clown knifes can hit 2.5 easily in aquarium but it will take a few years. The mall a few blocks from me has a massive tank with a clown knife that's about 27" but he's been in there for a long time. If your tank is 24" wide you should be good for a long while.

They get big, but my plan is to keep them for a year or two, then sell them back to either my work or to a couple of customers that I know wants them and can house them.

Meanwhile I get to enjoy them.

The rummy nose tetras were around 18 last night, now it's only 4 left.

I'm not sure if the gars took them all, might have been the bichir at night took a bunch.

The bichir tried to eat one of my purple breasted acaras!
Was too slow, but at least it shows it's allready settled enough to want food.

Also not sure why, but my Cory's are now less shy and are more out and searching for food. They seem unbothered by the new fish, and the gars don't show interest in them.

Before I could count only a couple at a time, but today their 10+ roaming around.

Maybe they feared the angels or the knife and bichir are taking their regular hiding spots...(?)
