My channa andrao jumped out of his tank !!!!

so i got this andrao for like 2-3 months and it jumped out yesterday.I put him back in and he seemed to be ok now but i’m just wondering if there’s anything i can do to help him and will the damaged fins regain its colour ???

How did he jump at first place? is there a cover on top of the tank like mine.
Also it is open cause I was feeding them.

i used glasses as my tank lit,i think he probably jump out cause of that gap there.

Try to cover it using a plastic cover or something. Also what are his tank mates and please send pics of him as u said there are damaged fins.
