Did a water change and wanted to take a few pics of my C. Myersi. Haven't given these guys too much attention.

Tankmates are a pair of Rotkiel Severums and a pair of Marble Motoros.

I have three left from eight. The dominant one seems to tolerate the middle one. The smallest and current runt is always backed up in corner.

Have to vent to know for sure. Too hard to catch though.

Very cool one if my favorite cichlids they are super interesting. Real nasty to one another but good with other fish nice too see someone keeping them

Thank you. They were brutal on one another. Fish get beat up, open wounds, and then succumb to secondary infections. These are the last three of eight.

Yeah man I know raised 12 out to 9-10" when all said and done although I got them all grown out it never stopped and ended with 2 than threw the towel in. Tried a few more times but they fell off and victim to others

Ouch. This is my second attempt at a pair as well. Hard to keep them with other cichlids too. If they lip lock, that can be the end.

Yeah ever harder Specs they hate each other and all others equally and are nasty nasty! Had a 5" female rip the entire bottom lip off the face of a 12" red dragon zz flowerhorn in a single bite, she took the top lip clean off as well with the second bite it blew my mind
