Mystery cichlid

At my lfs they have a set of adoption tanks usually full of unwanted fish brought by costumers. I picked up this guy not knowing what he is and hes currently in my grow out tank. Anybody know what he is?
(The tank is a 55 planted with two marineland penguin 400's. I have 2 jacks, 2 firemouths, a texas, a convcit, a silver arowana, a peacock bass, a tiretrack eel, and a blue ram).
Thats him in the back near the filter column.

I think it could be a juvenile female firemouth, while the one in front is a male.

probably an oddball colored JD....eye color is weird, but the stripes and spots are in all the right places for a JD

I don't believe the one in back is a FM or a JD, it is probably Mayaheros uropthalmus, or a barred Amphilophine of some ilk. A closer pic would help though, its a bit washed to get any true characteristcs.

I agree, definitely Festae or Uropthalmus after seeing this 2nd picture

I'm going w/ Festae since the 1st band forms a "Y", whereas Mayans' do not
