Yep, Riley is spot on. Usually my females will slow or stop feeding just prior to dropping eggs. I've even seen in with my old Epaulettes.

Eggcelent lol... Thanks guys for the affirmation on those couple tell tale signs, much appreciated. I'll check out those papers and keep reading/observing. Very glad I chained in the 55gal pup tank couple months back in hopes of this scenario. I'm sure my first egg/pup success rates may not be great but I'd rather be lucky than good :)

Despite the recent eye injuries caused by some squirrel fish this little girls growing belly gives me hope everythings getting better. Ive been leaving the lights off and its seemed to help both the fem and males eyes heal. Still a bit of redness but nothing like lastweek so thats a positive. You guys think shes holding? today is the largest ive seen her little belly in the 2 yrs ive had er.
