Hello All...
I am a saltwater reef guy that has decided to get back into freshwater this Spring. No, I am not breaking down my reef... lol

But I have a 75 gallon Reef Ready in my garage that has been itching to be set-up. I'll have a wet/dry in my sump for filtration and I'm not against getting a canister in addition if needed.

I have been out of freshwater for about 12 years though and I need some help getting started.

I'd like to get a carnivore that I can feed live feeders to from time to time. Not the main diet, but maybe once a month. No, I'm not trying to impress my friends, but I do enjoy aggressive species. Not really looking for a pirhana or Oscar. any other suggestions?

Right now I am leaning towards cichlids but I am open to suggestions!!

thanks guys and gals.

1. perfect for a jaguar cichlid

2. grammodes could be housed there

3 I'm a big fan of veija synspilum

4 Hoplias Malabarincus- wolf tetra

5 ofcourse....you could always put a serrasalmus elongatus in there. Mean fish and really striking when they develop a black mask.

6 you could house a serrasalmus rhombeus in there for years. They get up to 18" in the wild, but hardly ever in the aquarium and they grow extremely slow in aquaria.
