One reason i would do this is that I only feed my jardini mealworms , and I don't want to feed the silver any mealworms just fish sticks , so I think it's a good idea to take the jar out also , I want NO drop eyes haha , you guys should know how it feel when you see an arowana with de

Smart choice separating him..only a few quick nips from the jar could end things quick for a young fragile silver. He would need to be at least 3times the jars overall mass for me to feel somewhat comfortable..very cool pickup!!
