I have had new fish ( Red Tail Cross and Spotted Gar} for a while now, they are only 3 inches long but it's the 3rd day and they hide away and no ood will entice them. I think that in the morning they have not touched it either. They are in with a 9 inch hoplo and 2 lima's of the same size and now they won't eat either?

The water Parameters are Perfect .

I have had this before but not to reach the 3ed day with such carnivores.

All the usual bloodworm etc etc tried.....

Anyone?

Are temp and aeration ok?

Have you noticed what colour their poop is?

Are you using a water conditioner for chlorine etc

The poop is normal .

I have given them plenty of cover to little. The substrate is sand and the lighting is dim.?

Well,..dont get to worried yet!,..I had other people tell me that sometimes new fish dont eat for a few days or more. Unless they are sick, they should eat when they get hungry enough unless, they are being bothered by other fish.
