Well I just got my first puffer, Tetraodon baileyi (Hairy Puffer). These little guys dont get that big but are monsters when it comes time to feed.

Was also strange to see how their belly stretches when they eat something. Kind of weird how it will look all stretched out for a bit until it settles in.

Very cool little puffer for sure.

Thanks guys. Dont have any good feeding videos yet, he is pretty little and not a whole lot of live stuff being fed to him yet. He took to dead foods (krill) right away, as long as it is falling. If it is just sitting on the bottom he ignores it. I have fed a couple earthworms, krill, mussel, tilapia, and he is an awesome little feeder, eats it all. I just got a hold of some platies and will start a small breeding colony to supplement some live on occasion.

Nice to see you here purplecandle! Apparently we all frequent the same forums. :)

Very nice. I have not had the privilege of keeping this species, but I love the look.

Thanks guys. Very interactive little guy. Always watching whats going on. I think it was a good choice for my first puffer.
