Hey all,

I just came back from 3-day getaway and came home to see this. Now my tank has been set up for a little over a month ago. It's fully cycled, I just rechecked water parameters (ammonia-0, nitrites-0, nitrates-15) and everything seems fine. At this point I'm guessing this is just regular bacteria that grows everywhere. It seems to be on subtrate, bigger rocks, etc.

Other Info - Water temp 76.6, Filtration, Eheim 2215, AC110, Feeding - Every other day once or twice a day (most of them are feeders), Stock is 1 Chain pickerel (8in), 1 fancy goldfish, 10 minnow feeders. Lights are on from 3pm to midnight. This is a basement apartment so there's no direct sunlight. Water is crystal clear. Particles on the pics are bubbles.

So anyone got other ideas then just regular bacteria?

Thanks all.

Yep, brown algae. It is fairly typical in new tanks. It is also a low light algae. You can scrub it if it really bothers you, but it will eventually take care of itself.

Sweet. I thought as much. Just wanted to be sure. It actually doesn't bother me. Actually gives the tank a nice look imo. Thanks to the both of ya. Oh and CHOMPERS, can I persuade you to look at my DIY tread again? :D I ran into a problem with my overflow. :nilly:
