Hello! This is my first thread, so please bear with me if I make some mistakes. I recently wanted to get back into fishkeeping and decided I wanted to try my hand at saltwater. I am trying to choose between either the fluval edge or spec v to convert to a nano reef tank. Any opinions on which one might be better for the job? Also can someone explain to me what live sand and live rock does? Is that just extra "biomedia" or does it serve other purposes? I've read the sticky on cycling and it seems like its the same as with freshwater tanks. Is there any differences? I'm hoping to just have 1 or 2 small fish and maybe some inverts to start off and eventually try my hand with corals. As the size of these tanks are small I know my choices are very limited. Any sort of advice would be greatly appreciated.
