What is everyone's opinion on an Arowana in a 180g? I have 2 Oscars in the 180 with 6 silver dollars, and I eventually want an Arowana to grow out in another tank to put in the 180g. I understand I will have to upgrade to a 250-300 gallon in the future, but do you think an Arowana could go well in my 180g for a few years?

When the Silver Arowana and Oscars get fully grown the 180 gallon will look small and fish will be cramped. I suggest
wait and get the 300 gallon before purchasing the Silver Arowana.

My silver was in the 66”x20”x24” up to 16”with community fish then in the 6x2x2 up to 20” before moving to the pond.
Yes it looked cramped in the 5.5 but she had a route round the main wood decor and a routine she would follow. Then the same in the 6x2 and now in the pond she has the spots she likes and a routine she follows.
I think you could expect between 9-15 months before you will really want/need that 300.
