Haha definitely didn't expect that ending. I'm pretty adventurous but I draw the line at eating an animal while it's still alive unless it's a bug. I've also heard horror stories of people eating live octopus but didn't chew enough and the octopus ends up killing them by crawling back up the throat or biting through the stomach

I have kept several GPOs over the years. I would never suggest one for a home aquarium.
Although I don't think the mental capacity is something to worry about, space/temp/filtration are. They produce a lot of waste, they thrive between 50-60F and tend to do better with higher oxygen levels. The other thing to consider is that an adult will be much stronger than most people. It can lead to real problems if they get a hold of you. It means having two people to do anything at all in the tank (cleaning, feeding etc....). You need that extra person as a safety back up with an adult GPO.
