Started noticing saturday/sunday that my oscar wasnt himself. He wasnt swimming around as much and was sitting on the bottom of the tank, i figured he was just sulking because i moved a decoration a while ago. But monday i noticed he was laying on his side still breathing normal and his slime coat looked a lot thicker on his forehead. His head is also getting red dots on it (i believe because he scrapes it on his substrate). I immediately did a 50% water change and added 1 tbsp of aquarium salt per 5 gallons of water. I have been doing 50% waterchanges everyday and have also turned up the heat. I feel so helpless because he moves around a little more but he still lays on the bottom. ALSO worth mentioning his poop is still normal color and he still has an appetite.

Thanks,
Jimmy

When you moved the decor did it still up a lot of old food matter, poo, white fuzzy stuff? Sounds like high nitrates or ammonia burns.

What's all in the tank? Got pictures of the dot/spots on his head?
