I will check all my levels today. I think my shrimp are having trouble molting, today I had a new molt and a dead shrimp. It just seem like Im not getting enough molts. I also bought the GH/KH test kit but cannot figure out how to use it for the life of me.

Hhmmmmm... water seems to be more on the alkaline side...

Not sure about other keepers (especially in the US), but my shrimp tanks tend to stay around 6 - 6.5 PH, but if they are having problems molting, then it could be a lack of calcium possibly???

driftwood will naturally bring the PH down a little, dried out almond leaves which will leech tannis also works...

I would really try and confirm you have both males and females before messing with parameters though...

Coz i know early on in HK it wasnt unusual to only find one sex of fire red shrimp for sale, since some stores claimed the breeders were keeping all the males for themselves..,
