Nothing wrong with playing it safe. More people should follow your lead.
No tankmates for at least six months is prudent, as every other fish likes what stingrays eat.

I like your future tankmate thoughts, we have kept BGK and petina splendida with our rays for a long while.

Heres an update.. They are starting to grow :) You probably can't tell by the pictures. They are putting on some very dark colors, and even 'Stumpy' is starting to get more active and colorful.

I was really worried about the smallest ray, 'Stumpy', because it had a snubbed tail and was pretty skinny when I got it. I treated it, and it's been eating well and has grown a new thick stinger. I am assuming the re-growth of a stinger is a good sign.
