I have a nurse shark (a mistake we are fixing) and a cat shark. I curious as to when the cat shark gets another few inches if they would be ok in the same tank.

Before the hate starts we obtained the nurse shark when we first started keeping salt water aquariums. We were miss informed and we are looking I to significantly large tank setups. We know we made a mistake.

Depends on how big the nurse is. They'll have to be close to the same size. Nurse sharks tend to suck down smaller sharks.

Would you have any suggestions on a lower cost method of building/ buying a larger tank for the nurse shark?
Probably the lowest cost option for such a shark would be one of those kiddie type/above ground swimming pools,if you have the space inside your home for something like that...Check the old threads as I think someone has posted pictures of theirs.

What is the cat shark in now? You should move it over. 7" ans 12" is close enough for size as long as it wont fit in nurses mouth. Watch them closely.
