I'm sure everyone has dreamed something up that owns a puffer. This is what I've made to pick up the mussel shell shards that are littered in my tank. It's a wide, deep tank so a long handle was required. I grew tired of having wet armpits from reaching to the bottom while standing on a stool.

I used a plastic dustpan with many holes drilled in it. I then took an old wooden broom handle that I sanded down to remove all the paint and screwed it onto the handle of the dustpan. Pretty solid and seems to work well.

What do the other puffer keepers use?

I made a thread about this a long time ago. I ended up getting a fine, wire mesh kitty litter scooper.

Very much south..
Great ideas! I know too well what it is to have to take our shirt out and, on top of a stool, mearly dive headfirst into the bloody things...:)
