Those dimensions would be fine, I would think.The width is not a concern, I can go to 40" without worries. 10 ft long? So I should make the long portion of the L 6 ft long and the short portion 4 ft long? I'll measure the spot to check if its suitable.

Thanks for your advices jclyde.I had each of my 3 lids secured with heavy duty Velcro, which was enough to keep my ~30" aro contained, but I think the head trauma finally did him in. He died suddenly one day, several months ago, without any warning or visible trauma. Water parameters were fine, and the other fish showed no signs of stress.
