These two are in my ray pond. It is difficult to really get a good shot of them.
Their colors vary significantly has anyone else ever seen this?
Sexing arowanas is difficult but these two do not fight as they have in a bigger group.
What a quality looking pond nice job marineman , those rays look great hope you get some baby aro's off that pair , colour variation could be to do with them pairing up to breed fingers crossed
The first two pics are of the silver arowana that did not get along with the two downstairs. He is fully recovered and is now being housed with a black arowana that does not like it's picture taken. lol
The other pics are of the two in the pond that seem to be a pair (only fight sometimes) otherwise they're inseparable and have been seen courting periodically.
Aros are notorious jumpers, so unless there is some sort of barrier (walls) around the perimeter of the pond, a cover would probably be a good idea. Hope you don't take that as criticism...just lookin' out.
All criticism is welcomed, there is a rock overhang from the edge of the pond wall and for some reason these two never really jumped they have been in there since they were 4 inches
