3rd grade had a 10gal that got upgraded to a 20 gal for 2 fancy fish.
never had fish again until highschool, but that was to house feeders because I had a snapping turtle, put turtle in diy pond in the back yard, it escaped and got ran over
19/20 had another snapping turtle, had 1 feeder comet goldfish it wouldnt eat or not catch so I kept it, the first tank I ever bought was a 55 gal, dam near put my bank account into the negatives, wasnt prepared for the price of a new tank and stand at that age haha.
now at 30 I have a 501gal as my biggest.
One day aiming for that 1k-1.5k to hit that dream tank.
What really got me started was a 10g just after I got married. My wife didn't like how I took care of it and she bought a 150. Then a few more now we have 125 tanks going but way more with no room yet. Our largest is a 1300 gallon that I can hardly wait to get set up.
I started with a 10 gal tank that had Crayfish and marbles as a substrate. They used to pick up and drop the marbles at night while we were trying to sleep. Had a lot of different fish com and go through that tank. After moving I got a 40 gal breeder. Now my biggest tank is 625 gal
My first tank was a 20 gallon, 16 years ago. Since then, I've had a 2.5 gallon eclipse tank, a 3.5 gallon, three 10's, a 25, and a 55. At the moment, I have a 36 bowfront, 40 breeder, and a standard 225 (Marineland 220).
