Welcome aboard
Tbh I don't have any experience with the black spotted eel. Hopefully someone will chime in with experience with the eel specie.

Ok thank you I'm hoping so as well information on Google isnt very helpful lots of info on them in the wild but not captive I posted on another forum but had very contradicting reports and 1 even say non of my fish should be in the tank as it's too small even tho the tank is over sized for the fish

I believe you have a spiny eel species mastacembelus dayi. Tagging a member who may have experience.

I'm after expertise from people who have kept them and advice on current stock if you can help?
Sure. I’ve kept a few in the past. Would keep some hideouts for the eel. Keep the tank covered. Would avoid aggressive tankmates. Keep nitrates below 20ppm. Try and get it on varied diet. Soak foods in vitamin supplement if eating one type of food staple.
