:DI am new here guys so pardon the short introduction, Names Drew, I have always liked fish as well as most other animals, I am going to school for herpetology. I recently regained a interest in the teethy fresh water buggers and after years of lurking here drooling at many of your various tanks, I have finally broken down and started my first predatory tank. I plan on a single red wolf in a 40 breeder, with several live plants, nothing special. I got all that you see below for 75 and after a bit of cleaning everything ended up looking nice. I was hoping to get my little guy in a few weeks once I get my chemistry and healthy bacteria going from (<a href="http://www.aquascapeonline.com/aquatic-live-stock-fresh-water-fish-oddballs-wolf-fish-wolf-fish-red/" target="_blank">http://www.aquascapeonline.com/aquatic-live-stock-fresh-water-fish-oddballs-wolf-fish-wolf-fish-red</a>) What do you guys think?

got the lightly loved filter put together, now just to get filter material (what your prefference the normal sponge stuff, or is there something you guys use to get a tanked started that works better?) and to start the fill up. :)

Hope you've got a cover for that thing! My Red Wolf jumped twice before I managed to get every possible spot covered - and then he decided to take one last forceful jump, injured the top of his head on the tank lid, and passed away two days later.
You'll have to let us know how your experience with AquaScape goes - interested in the results.

Yeah I have a glass cover but I am going to have to get something a bit better because that still leaves a gap in between the filter and the back of the aquarium, but I will have it before the fish is even ordered. As for aquascape I will happily post how it goes should be ordering in a week, maybe two, depending on how quickly the water comes along. Here's the rest of the progress for the day so I don't have to make another post.

Ok so a quick update before I have to go to work. Got the water tested everything looks good, been running for two days now. I am using minnows to try and quicken beneficial bacteria growth? I don't know if this is effective but I didn't want to invest and get attached to a fish that is just going to be killed. If any one has some insight please chime in.
