my male loves to climb the algae covered walls... i think the texture appeals to him... and they love foraging for black worms around the driftwood.

i tap on the glass and mine tries to bite my finger threw the glass
Have you ever been in a LFS and see signs saying don't tap on the glass and wonder why

Big rocks and pebbles are a risk as a big ray can toss them around and you risk a tank crack

Sand or substrate work fine as all rays even new norms like to dig its what comes naturally to the rays

Ive read articles where people put bits of food in pipes and the rays learn to manoovre the pipes to get their treat
I hink this is good enrichment, I have been toying with the idea of a swim feeder from a fish shop and fill it with worms to allow them to tease them out. They are obviously intelligent and we should stimulate them as much as we can. Mine love blowing in the sand to find snails and the female rasps algae off a tube.
