These are spectacular looking. I was wondering how well they would do in my tapwater with has a pH of 7.5, KH of 120, and GH of 200. I know they like high ph, but I have read the trick is to have very soft water. Would water conditioner help, or would RO water and crushed coral be the way to go.
My other question, where is a good place to find them, and what species are out their, and how are they to breed?

You're right about then liking more alkaline waters, so PH 7.5 - 8 or 9 is best for them if memory serves me correctly...

And yes, they tend to prefer softer water, and warmer temps (28'c - 30'C) since they originate from Indonesia and surrounding areas mainly...

I've heard they breed similar to Crystal Reds, in the sense as long as everything is to their liking, they will breed quite readily... so crushed coral works as a substrate to help keep water params to their liking...

Last but not least, im pretty sure its the Sulawesi Cardinal Shrimp that is easiest to keep...
