Tanks for Arowana

In a little while I will be picking up my custom tank.

84.6 x 29.5 x 29.5 inch
7 x 2.5 x 2.5 feet
Capacity
1209 Litres
319 USgallons
266 UKgallons
All those conversions hurt my brain. Anyway, I was wondering how many arowanas that could live happily in there? Can you mix asians with silvers?

319... you might be able to get... away with.. 2 but definitely.. would have to upgrade your tank.. 1 yr or so down the road 266 is good for 1

This makes no sense, why would the upgrade be needed a year down the road?



This tank would be fine for a silver aro for life, but to small to house multiple silver aros for life. Sorry I don't know much about the asian aros, there have been a few that have mixed the two.

IMHO it would be possible to comm a few (around 6?) Asians in there provided that you have appropriate filtration, maintenance (read: water changes) and tankmates.

7x2.5x2.5 at least can house for 2 arows. Malaysia and Singapore talk about minimum 4x2x2 for a single arow... Hope this help

awesome thanks so much everyone. Asian aros cost NZ$2000 here so i don't think im gonna be able to do the community thing...Maybe 2 silvers.

for that 319 gallon u can put 5 no problem but u need really good filtration
