I love tall tanks I would love to have a 36"+ tall tank but the price jump is just crazy to compensate for the thicker material. Once you start getting into large tanks, they aren't even affordable to the average income person
yeah serisously! when i was looking at this tank i got a few quotes to see much it would cost new. prices were $3400+ for the tank alone!

Nice tank to get something going. hopefully you can subscribe to this thread to get the gears rolling. Like Ken says " An empty tank is a Terrible thing to waste!"
I am subscribed and thanks for the huge laugh

I love the saying

What is funny is people walking by wondering why I am laughing looking at me like im crazy.

perhaps I should leave it open to suggestions.

I have thought of cutting out the overflow and sealing the bottom to gain the corner.

Ok I will put this tank out for ideas on this thread, keeping in mind here in the wasteland of fishkeeping certain fish are not available.

I am open to ideas this tank has sat empty for almost a year :WHOA:

Hi
72"L x22"D x 40"H
Acrylic tank, 1" thick on the sides and 3/4" thick top and bottom. I wish the tank was deeper for my Aro.

Awesome tank man, love the bass, especially that huge lunker with all the red, and the tems. What's the red fish in there, I think it was in the first pic? Looks like one of those red pacific salmon with the long jaws, but I'm thinking it's some kind of pike?

I've got a 72"x18"x30" tall tank (170G), I'll throw some pics up in a bit as it's finally looking decent. I love the height. I wish it was wider, but I'd never want a tank <30" tall again. Moving deco/wood/plants around is sort of a pain, but the look is worth it. And for folks who claim the space is wasted, it's not...that height = more volume = more bioload.

I have several tanks in the 36-46" height range. Here's a quick pic of the 300 half-cylinder in the family room. It currently houses about 120 angels, 8 albino cories, and a BGK. This tank is 36" tall.

Nice. I am really liking the taller tanks myself.
