Today in the Fishroom ~ F0 Parachromis motaguense "Rio Blanco"

Hands down, I love the Parachromis species more than any other. This is probably the most colorful of the bunch...and in particular the variant from the Rio Blanco. My first day out collecting I was using a long net to get up under the river bank. First try...bang...I pulled out a large male Motaguense. Pure luck. I've had this species ever since.

I would have to agree...but also ad Festae to that. Females are amazing in both species.

I LOVE MOTAGUENSE!!!. dude if i could instantly swap all my fish for one of these i would. but if i get a tank larger than a 70 one day then i want to try a pair of these. and great photography!

I'd agree most of the time with this but that third picture down with the male over the female you can see the intense colors and markings simply stunning male. He's got that electric blue in the face and hues in the body

My second favorite behind jags. All I keep is parachromis besides the hemichromis 5 spots. Super nice mota pair

dam those are sweet, I like the Managuensis the most though for some reason, reminds me of a true jaguar coat.
