LFS sometimes have it, but if they dont you can order it online, I believe others have used lace rock as "base/dry" rock with success, such as theCanuck.

quick question. i found a koralia 750 for 24.99 and 6.99 for shipping. that would be a good enough flow through the tank correct? i will also be looking for prob an xp3 for the canister.

ok, also reading about having too much flow is not a good thing. would you go with the 750gph or the next up which is like 1050gph?

The 750 should be fine, though personaly I like having 2 or 3 smaller ones (like 2 around 350-450 in this case) so I can get a wider flow spread instead of one high flow area, as well as direct it where I want. But you don't need to go up to the 1050, the 750 is fine.

Wow...12x2x2...that sounds like a flow/lighting nightmare...however I am also interested in how much nucks wants for his tank! :D

That being said I would recommend that you buy more than one powerhead...more important than having one big one is having several small ones from different angles so that you get complete flow.
