Just started with Frontosas and using african salt and its suggested dose for normal setups...

Now if I had to treat for Ick would I be using the african salt or would I be using another type of salt (like non -iodide type aquarium salt) to treat Ick ? and how do they both work in conjunction with each other?

I always use the raise the temp in my tanks for two weeks if I notice any ich, and I have never lost a fish to it :) Be careful of using salt. Some fish such as plecos don't tollerate it well at all.

I just got ich for the first time since I was a kid (15-20 years) and didn't know what to do cuz I heard medications are bad for fish like black ghosts. . . .anyway, I'm using this heat treatment and I can already see it working. Another week or so and I should be all set again. Thanks for the info guys.
