An Olympus E510 not the greatest, not the worst. A better question for taking pictures of your fish would be what flash do you use and how. I am still using my lowly on-board /sigh hope to remedy this situation soon. With an entry level DSLR and two off-board flash, you can take some fantastic tank shots, with practice and some know-how. You don't need a $3000. camera to do so. One would be nice, if you can afford of course.

I just bought a Canon XSi, super happy about it and satisfied.



Before the Rebel I used a DSC-W300
My wife called it our little big camera



With adapter ring





With adapter ring and Wide angle lens



Then the Telephoto lens

canon xti with tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens. i need to get some more lenses. every time i buy one i end up needing some money like a month or two later. past lenses were 50mm f/1.8, 100mm macro, 70-200mm f/4L
