I think people are freaking out because it's actually happening not that politics got involved and I myself have been in women's bathrooms with said women in bars and clubs bwcause the women in question wanted me in there (wink wink) but we're not talking about bars and clubs here we're talking about school bathrooms, dressing rooms in clothing stores, bathrooms in restaurants I don't see how allowing kids to share bathrooms of opposite sex is a good thing. Has someone snuck into the bathroom od the opposite sex by putting on clothes of the opposite sex probably but this is different this is saying anyone who identifies with the opposite sex can use that bathroom so now there's no need to put on the clothes of the opposite sex and go through the hole ordeal just to sneak in a bathroom now who's to say anything to a straight man not wearing a dress or a wig to just walk into that bathroom I don't know I haven't seen or heard of that

this is what I'm saying, its only a huge deal now because the governments got involved. The cases in the news I've seen so far have been dudes that generally look like girls and girls that look like dudes...these laws are opening a can of worms that, like you just said, allow straight pervs to just walk into a womens bathroom wearing whatever they want as long as they just say hey I'm a girl at heart. I'll say it again...this has been happening for years. whether you like it or not your wife/girlfriend/daughter may have already been in the same bathroom as a transgender person....this is only a big deal because politics got involved and blew up the lbgt community....I know for a fact that when I lived in Pittsburgh I've seen "men" use the women's bathrooms at bars and clubs, no one killed them or freaked the hell out until now.

Political pandering is a big issue. They should have left things be but Godforbid ur elected officials not be politically correct. I have Lesbian/*** friends/co-workers/family members and i havent heard one of them agree with any of this. Makes me wonder what the hell is going on.

It may not define someone by which bathroom they use but I think it helps them feel more comfortable in their own skin.

Agree, i will admit i am only looking at this strictly in terms of protecting a child and or women from something bad from happening which isnt a matter of if but when. If it offends or makes things difficult for someone who is struggling with their sexuality to not be able to use bathrooms/locker rooms or what ever but keeps even 1 crime against a women or child from happening then so be it.

End of the day bad people will find a way to do bad things. we can't protect everyone but the best way to do it is to prepare the ones we want to protect for the situations that can happen in this world. I know for a fact my gf's daughter will be learning how to properly fire a handgun and also will be shown some general techniques I've picked up through my years of martial arts studies. Some dirty pervert touches her and he's going to need a gender reassignment afterwards.

Not the same as not wanting to drink the same water as African americans... Atleast from the point of view that I'm coming from. Its not that sharing a bathroom with a transgender is making people uncomfortable but the safety factor.
