I have gotten it on a piece of driftwood I've had for four years. And someone else had it for years before that. I just yanked the wood out. It went away after the wood dried. Then I ran it under hot water and put it back in the tank.
I had a big piece of manzanita and it was covered in this fuzz. My pleco went nuts for it.It's just cause its a new piece of driftwood nothing to worry about. If you have a Pleco put it in there it will eat the fuzz and speed up process

Compared to most MFK'ers you almost don't have fish in that tank at all.It seems to be going away on its own now, I know my archer fish aren't eating it, but there are some snails in my tank. I really need to get more inhabitants, its a 120 4x2x2 with 3 baby archer fish and a violet goby XD
I doubt if it is there because the wood is new. It's just cause its a new piece of driftwood nothing to worry about.
its okay I have a 225 that has a giant snakehead and 2 albino pacu among others so I'm plenty monsterCompared to most MFK'ers you almost don't have fish in that tank at all.
