they will readily eat nightcrawlers and shrimp. Just get the raw frozen shrimp and thaw a couple out for him. 1-2 every other day is fine.

if you want to keep your tank mates safe, feed him a little heavier.

i dont have anytank mates with him i tried out a small severum and the severum ate his front arm almost completly off. and i had a foot long shovel nose in ther for about an hour untill they started squaring up on eachoth ive never seen anything like it. id really like to get some tank mates. it seems like people have good luck with chichlids with lungfish but i think mine might be too slow to defend itsself

It will murder any tankmates that you put in there eventually unless they kill it first.
